As sad as I was to hear that Circuit City was going out of business, I realized this might be the perfect time for me to upgrade the lens on my camera. I’d wanted to buy a macro lens for a while now and had already started saving up. As luck would have it, Circuit City had one Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens left at a ridiculously discounted price. I’m still learning how to use it but I’m already in love with the thing. Since Steve’s not home to cook me something pretty, I made due with some sprinkles to give my new lens a test run:

Many families long ago decided that turkey would not be the staple item at the table on Thanksgiving. I remember friends who mentioned they ate ham on Thanksgiving and turkey on Christmas, and that is just completely backwards. Now people go with the tofurkeys and leg of lambs to change up Thanksgiving dinner. more…
