If you’ve been watching Food Network lately – sometimes it feels more like enduring – you’ve probably seen ads for the Ted Allen helmed new competition Chopped. The show features top chefs – ha, get it? – competing each week to produce food based on ingredients provided. Is it really time for Anthony Bourdain to return to television? Thank god, because most of the celeb chefs making the rounds are just people that have no place telling other people what to cook. Bourdain doesn’t do that in No Reservations, instead he just travels and enjoys the food of the land. As it should be. more…
Walking into a restaurant called Tokyo Seoul you may expect to find contemporary Asian fusion cuisine. In a way you find just that, depending on how you choose to enjoy your experience at the family run restaurant on the East side of Syracuse. Mr. and Mrs. Kim met in Seoul, South Korea and just knew that the food they found there was fantastic. One film the Cinema Blend staff missed out on was the documentary A Table In Heaven. more…

Where you get generous portions of rice and beans to accompany your tasty burrito, or heck how about some tostadas? You rarely find the flat tasty treat at the average Mexican joint, and for such a simple dish that’s a travesty. Those of us here in Syracuse have limited choice in Mexican fare. more…

The problem with making pizza at home is you have to deal with preparing the dough, which is a torturous process. Then you have to decide on what kind of pizza to make.
