Kim Kardashian is next in line as a Carl’s Jr. sultry and seductive spokesperson with the latest ad. The fast food company has previously tapped Audrina Partridge, Paris Hilton and Padma Lakshmi to suggestively lick sauces off of themselves. Rather than chow down sensually on a burger, Kardashian will be enjoying some of Carl’s Jr.’s newest salads. more…

Pepsi Co has announced that after 23 years in the game they are no longer advertising during the Super Bowl. The company announced yesterday that they have decided to abandon the broadcast juggernaut in order to focus on online marketing efforts. more…
Is Martha Stewart really the wholesome housewife icon that a few mistake her as? I say no. Stewart is a savvy media mogul, and can hold her own with other moguls such as Sean Combs. Inviting Snoop Dogg onto The Martha Stewart Show for some brownie baking is just another event in a long line of OG maneuvers. more…
This “everything’s better with bacon on it” concept needs to be tested. But that’s for another time. Right now let’s focus on Top Chef, and what may be the first professionally made parody music video based on a popular food competition show. The guys over at Funny or Die have posted the video showing Gail Simmons critiquing Ashley, Bryan, and Mattin from the most recent season. more…
There’s never been a time in my life when I thought a musical television show could accomplish the goal of being good and popular. Even as I prepared to watch the sneak peak of Glee earlier this year I felt that it couldn’t be good, and if that happened then no one would watch. Well it looks like I was wrong as Fox’s hit musical show maintains a solid 8 million or so viewers each week. And if a musical on television can be popular, why not music and food? more…
It’s like Celebrity Deathmatch, only not anything like it and starring Gordon Ramsey. That’s what I get out of the recent announcement that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey, most known for his Yosemite Sam impression on Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, is getting a stop motion animation series. more…
Quick: What movie are you most looking forward to seeing this summer? I’m going to guess that a few of you threw out some Terminator and Transformers. Perhaps those with kids came up with Up or Night at the Museum 2. And for those foodies out there I’ll bet Julie & Julia was in the forefront of your mind. I don’t blame you, all of those movies look great. more…
It looks like Andrew Zimmern may have some competition of the eating weird things variety starting this fall. The Food Network has announced they’ve reached a deal that would see an eight-episode order of Extreme Cuisine With Jeff Corwin. The show will follow the anthropologist as he travels around the world tasting the local cuisine and learning about the local customs of the native people. more…
With just a teaser image to go on I had no real idea what Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs could end up being. The children’s book itself doesn’t lend itself well to a full length animated (and in 3D…ooooh!) film. So the movie writers have bulked it up with Flint Lockwood, a scientist who invents a way to convert water into food. This results in clouds raining down burgers, pancakes, and even Jell-O. more…
I’m not sure what the time frame is for forgiving Mel Gibson for his transgressions against common sense, but I think I’m ready to take the high road. At least I am after seeing the trailer for Gibson’s newest film, The Colonel. The story of the happy mustache wielding guy with the original recipe for fried chicken is one of the most brilliant ideas I’ve seen in literally hours. What makes it so fantastic is that it’s not real, but a spoof trailer from Jimmy Kimmel Live. more…
