We’re all on the internet here just talking and reading about food. Which means that sometimes you’re craving something to eat while perusing your favorite sites but aren’t in the mood to go grab a quick sandwich. And for some reason I consistently bring food to the computer that requires two hands to eat properly. A mid-rare steak and steamed vegetables, stuff like that. But now there’s a way for me to get some one-handed food straight from my PC.
The Bay Toaster is exactly what the name proclaims. It’s a toaster that fits into a standard 5.25 in bay on your PC. There’s temperature control and a tray to catch crumbs. Let’s not quibble over the myriad problems that arise from making the internal temperature of your PC rise up to toast making status, or how detrimental to your PC using ways crumbs can end up being. Now we can have dry pieces of bread to snack on while we’re playing games or surfing.
OF course someone will have to make a fridge mod so I have somewhere to put my toast worthy condiments. I’m never in the mood for dry toast; I need at least a little butter. Jam would be even better. So until that comes along I’ll stick with just having an optical drive in my PC. But if you want toast from the PC, it’s available. And Mac users will be happy to know that there’s a version coming for you soon.
