You may think that someone who writes about food would never think you can take food items too far, but you’d be wrong. The burger and soda sleep masks are a prime example of going overboard. It’s the equivalent of the Disney fanatic who has nothing but Disney decorations throughout their home. We have pics from our trips in the bathroom, and few specialty items (such as Christmas decorations) we bring out. And the same goes for food. For the most part I stick to having my food and cooking items in the kitchen, with only the cookbooks invading the rest of the house.
I’m also not a fan of being blindfolded while I’m sleeping. I prefer to be able to wake up and open my eyes when it’s time to force myself out of bed. But if you want overtly cute food characters over your eyes while you sleep, then these are the items for you. I’d also like to mention that on one side the mask says “happy junk food.” Sorry, but there’s nothing happy about junk food. These aren’t the items to get preachy about proper eating, I understand that. But I think with the pervasive nature of the industrialized food world there’s little reason to self promote bad eating habits.
