It looks like Andrew Zimmern may have some competition of the eating weird things variety starting this fall. The Food Network has announced they’ve reached a deal that would see an eight-episode order of Extreme Cuisine With Jeff Corwin. The show will follow the anthropologist as he travels around the world tasting the local cuisine and learning about the local customs of the native people.
Corwin, who is well known for his Animal Planet series The Jeff Corwin Experience, is a foodie. Or at least he says he is. Although with the popularity of food programming lately it appears that everyone and anyone is a food expert. I say we give a show to someone like Jeffrey Steingarten. That’s a man who would have some things to say about local cuisines from around the world.
Extreme Cuisine With Jeff Corwin is set to premiere this fall on The Food Network.
