I’m not sure what the time frame is for forgiving Mel Gibson for his transgressions against common sense, but I think I’m ready to take the high road. At least I am after seeing the trailer for Gibson’s newest film, The Colonel. The story of the happy mustache wielding guy with the original recipe for fried chicken is one of the most brilliant ideas I’ve seen in literally hours. What makes it so fantastic is that it’s not real, but a spoof trailer from Jimmy Kimmel Live.

But honestly, if someone wanted to do a biopic on The Colonel shouldn’t it be this finger licking good? Watch the trailer for The Colonel below and prepare to learn a thing or two about why we fry chickens.
