This past weekend a young lady from Syracuse University spent time roaming our restaurant, snapping pics and getting quotes when possible. It’s a yearly project for the school where students document aspects of small town life in different media. The video below is Megan’s brief look into Rosalie’s.
Unfortunately you won’t find me being quoted, although I appear in a couple of the pictures. I’m the tall, apparently confused looking, fellow in the background. Megan tried sitting with me on Saturday, but I was running around frantic and never had the time. The brief 15 minutes of quiet time I did have before service began she was nowhere to be found. Also missing is chef de cuisine, Matt Sloboda, who was on vacation. Our sous chef commented that his only appearance in the video was a shot of the back of his head.
To anyone who isn’t able to make a long trip to come and see me work at the restaurant, this is the next best thing. Well not really, because our food is amazing and I made a wild mushroom and corn risotto accompanied by an apple and onion preserve this past evening that no picture could do justice. Plus the scampi on the menu, which we all had a few nights ago, was agreed by all to be within the top five scampi’s any of us had ever eaten.
