Hybrid fruits are nothing new. Tangelos are a daily site at the local grocery store, but one woman from Cheltenham, Gloucester, England got a surprise when cutting into a tomato. Apparently within the tomato from her garden Esther Walker, 48, discovered a strawberry hiding out from authorities. I’m not entirely sure it’s actually a tomato, but the picture sure does make it look like one.
Esther told authorities that, ”We’re keeping it in the fridge in case an expert wants to look at it.” I’m no expert, but I’ll take a gander. Getting back over to England may be a bit challenging though. And I’m looking closer at the image and it really just looks like some tomato seeds encased in a strawberry shaped hunk of pulp.
Damn, I was hoping the strawmato would be real. Looks like it’s just a figment of our imagination, just like the mangana.
