strawmato The Strawmato Lives!Hybrid fruits are nothing new. Tangelos are a daily site at the local grocery store, but one woman from Cheltenham, Gloucester, England got a surprise when cutting into a tomato. Apparently within the tomato from her garden Esther Walker, 48, discovered a strawberry hiding out from authorities. Ingredients

½ head romain lettuce, cut into bite size pieces
2 cups arugula
2 oz gorgonzola cheese, coarsely crumbled
6 vine ripened baby roma tomatoes
¼ cup candied pecans (recipe follows)
1 poached Bartlett pear (recipe follows)
Raspberry vinaigrette (recipe follows)
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 tsp cumin more…

After Dinner Thoughts:
steaksalad21-300x200 Dinner Tonight: Steak Salad With Poached Pear And Raspberry VinaigretteLately I’ve been working in the restaurant for 50-60 hours a week, and therefore haven’t had much time to cook delicious meals at home. Most often I’ve been throwing together something quick at work like a sirloin with balsamic glaze or flounder with wilted spinach and tomato garlic lemon sauce.
